SECTIONS - Branches of Government

The local officials decided to split the responsibility of governing into two separate areas - each necessary in their own respects. The military is the front line defense against any attackers. Their sole purpose is to protect the city and aid in generating gold for the city's upkeep as well as importing goods.

On the Politics side of government we have the council and delegate members. The delegates enact new laws, update old laws, and vote on such proposals. Council members are responsible for maintaining the city's gold budget, setting taxes, and negotiating peace treaties in times of war.

The ultimate goal of the two branches is to work together to decide when to actively go to war with enemies which keeps the city out of harms way and aids in resource acquisition, thus boosting the city's gold budget. They may also work towards getting imported goods for their citizens when the city gold reserves are in surplus - more on this in the last chapter.
