To make things easier to understand I have divided the Draco civilization’s history into three sections. The Ancient Times is from about Grinnreal 9,000 to about 26,000. The Middle Times is from about Grinnreal 26,900 to about Danaan 1431. After 1431 it is considered the beginning of the modern Draco civilization which continues to the present.

The Ancient Times

Grinnreal 9,000 – 26,000

The history of the Draco is a long and rich one. The Draco civilization is among the oldest in Temuair. It is estimated that it began somewhere between 25,000 and 35,000 years ago. The Draco it is believed were once a nomadic race using their ability to fly to get from place to place in search of food and other resources.

About 25,000 years ago during the second aeon of Grinneal dating the Draco began, for reasons unknown, began to establish small communities and settlements in the area around and in what we now know as the Kasmanium Mines. One theory suggests that the Draco were attempting to get away from the Aosda civilization which was vanishing and they didn’t want anything to happen to them. One of these settlements was Hn Kalrone (The Hearth or Fireplace in Draco) which existed directly in what we now know as the Chaos Realms.

Shortly after Hn Kalrone’s founding evil spirits and creatures began pouring from the depths bellow the settlement attacking and killing many draco. The Draco began to create a seal to keep Hn Kalrone and the creatures bellow it closed off forever. After several horrible battles with the help of the few remaining Aosda Knights the seal was in place and Hn Kalrone was forgotten. The seal remained intact until the 18th Deoch of our time.

When the Aosda civilization finally fell and was lost several decades after the sealing of Hn Kalrone many records and historical documentation were destroyed. Little is known about the Draco at this point in history. I believe for the most part the Draco kept to themselves at this point and tried to avoid contact with what they considered a world falling apart.

The Middle Times

Grinnreal 26,900 – Danaan 1431 (about 6,000 years)

With the discovery of the four elements and the Aosda civilization rising from the ashes marked the beginning of a new dawn for the Draco. The Draco emerged from their isolation and began exploring these new found discoveries and the return of civilization to the world.

Great achievements were made during this time period. Many traditions and practices of the Draco society began to take shape. The Draco seemed to also have developed an early form their picture language, the Mx Jelrone (long memory), and from surviving records I learned about their first major leader.

Reading a very old tablet which was preserved somehow in molten rock I stumbled across the name ‘Har Seltern’ which roughly translates into ‘Builder Leader’. Har Seltern began construction of the Draco “capital city” (really a massive complex of caves) known as N’karfen (the nest).
