Making Your Character Portrait
Running FaceMaker
- Go to your Legend's directory. The default directory is C:\Program
Files\TimeNet\Legends
- Run the program FaceMaker.exe
Portrait Example
- Click 'Load'
- Select the file Fionuala.epf
- Click 'Open' to view this portrait.

Create your own Image
- Make a *.bmp or *.pcx
file. Save as 256 colours.
This picture file should be 48 pixels wide by 56 pixels tall. Please note
that the FaceMaker palette colours may not match the exact colours you are
using.
- Run FaceMaker.
- Click 'Import'.
- Select the portion of the image you want to use.
Edit and Save
- Double-click on the colour display beside the x,y position for the
complete Legends colour palette.
- Click 'Save' when you are done. This converts the file to Legends'
image format, *.epf.
- You can only save your file name with the .epf
extension.
- If you are working on another portrait, rename the first portrait file
so that you do not accidentally overwrite your work.
- Copy your face.epf file to that
character folder. C:\Program Files\Nexon\DarkAges\CharacterName
- You may use any file name, but it must end with .epf
or the portrait will not appear in Legends.
That's it!
In Legends
- When you logon, your portrait appears in the lower-right corner, if you
made a portrait file.
- Click on yourself or another character. You will see their portrait in
the lower-right frame.
- When someone clicks on you, they will see your portrait.
