Although the NIDA style of government enjoyed initial success it
was never able to repair the stagnation that had set into the guild.
Without active leadership (Theowin had left to found her own guild and Lord Ramanayan
was abroad) gradually
the
system
become
unused
and
the
amount
of
members
left
in
the
guild
began to decrease.
In order to avoid a total collapse of the guild a radical approach was taken
to reform the guild along a more darker line preaching self-reliance and the
return to the more imperialistic past of the guild.
In the end this system failed and was abandoned several double moons after had
started. However, this era is credited with the creation of the Guild Code which
Novus Imperia continues to use to this day.
