Loures

The center of Temuair since the time of Tenes and Ainmeal Loures sits at the center of the Empire of Ardmagh and its influence spreads far and wide. Loures has been in a long state of stagnation and decay due to internal greed, curruption, and a nearly endless series of foreign wars and rebellions. Despite being a shadow of its former self Loures is still the most powerful state in Temuair.


Leadership:

Officially Loures is a monarchy. King Bruce has ruled Loures for well over 60 deochs. Day to day affairs are managed by the high council which is currently led by Jean.

General Dealos is the overall commander of the forces involved in the Goblin War.

Many, however, speculate that the remnants of the Anaman Pact secretly controls much of Loures from behind the scenes.

Recent Events:

-Loures has been in a continual state of war with the goblins since Deoch 27. Twice the goblins have attacked Loures itself - in Deochs 28 and 44. Both attacks were repulsed with aisling assistance, despite heavy losses.

-Loures was at the center of the invasion by the dark aislings of Law. Again this was repulsed with aisling assistance.

-Undine broke into open rebellion in Deoch 39 and was only put down with great losses to both sides. Loures has faced protests and riots regarding the Undine situation ever since.

All these events have caused Loures to be weakened further. Many speculate that without aisling assistance Loures would have been overrun by the Goblins or Dark Aislings. It is said many in the military have come to resent this situation.
