Event: Raiders of Undine I & II

The situation on the outskirts of Undine, normally tense at it is, has grown worse in recent moons. Loures captain Gnaeus Pompeius Caprarius explains:

Aislings,

"Just several moons ago one of our patrols on the outskirts of Undine did not report back to the garrison. Another patrol was sent out to find them, but they to never returned. We found the bodies several days later of these brave soldiers of Loures. After investigation we have discovered that this is work of a relatively new radical group of Undine “Freedom Fighters” who pledge to continue striking at Loures interests in the region. Since this several more murders and abductions have taken place.

Less then a moon ago we received a tip off from a loyal citizen which led to raids on numerous locations in Undine. During these raids we captured several rebels but many more got away into the forest. Those who escaped have fortified and dug themselves in. Our soldiers have cut off all routes of escape and we have them completely surrounded but the exact location of their central base is unknown.

Although our soldiers could easily eliminate this band of brigands his Majesty has remembered the assistance of aislings during the Goblin War and Law’s invasion and wishes to offer the chance to aislings to again serve for the glory of Loures. Any aisling who wishes to take down these rebels is welcome to come join us. Aislings who show exemplary courage may even be rewarded."

But Loures is not the only side seeking the support of aislings. This illegal note has been found circulating:

Aislings,

We are in need of help! We are not the murderers portrayed by that butcher Caprarius! Our group is attempting to free Undine from Loures and restore freedom and end tyranny. The Loures army has us completely surrounded and we require aisling assistance if we are to get out and fight another day. We will reward those who come stand with us.

((Raiders of Undine will be held on Friday October 17th at 6:00 PM PST. Aislings who participate will choice to either fight for Loures or the Undine Rebels. The objective of each side will to find and destroy the opposing sides’ base which will be hidden in the area around Undine. (Suomi, Mount Giragan, Astrid etc) This will be accomplished by successfully killing the captain defending the base. Some aislings who join both sides will be recruited to defend the bases.

Those who will fight for Loures will meet outside of the temple of Cail. Those who will side with the rebels will meet in the Monastery.

There will be a mini-quest on both sides to find the hidden bases. The first side to successfully destroy the others base will be proclaimed the winner. Rewards will be given to those aislings who show great courage during the battle.

Raiders of Undine: Chapter II
Word has spread quickly across Temuair of the total defeat of the Loures Undine garrison in a battle at the peak of Mount Giragan. The captain of the garrison, Gnaeus Pompeius Caprarius is dead, said to have been killed by the aisling Timelock. Reports have circulated of the remaining Loures soldiers in Undine fleeing for their lives. Still, most in Undine are not opening celebrating or denouncing Loures, as the memories of the rebellion and siege Deochs 12 and 13 are still fresh in the minds of many.

Despite the disaster at the Loures garrison, before the death of Caprarius, a smaller but well organized loyal group of Loures aislings successfully found and destroyed the rebel base. Its captain, whose name is unknown, was slain by the loyal aisling Kaiderai.

While the this battle might be considered a draw, Loures soldiers have retreated out of Undine, as they are now without a garrison.

The leader of the High Council of Loures writes:

“To all loyal citizens and aislings,

Undine is in a state of rebellion against Loures. The council will keep you informed when events of significant happening. We send out thanks out to those loyal aislings who helped find and destroy the rebel base.

With no guards to tear them down these notes have been seen posted all over Undine:

“To all the brave aislings,

On behalf of all of Undine we wish to thank you for your assistance in the recent battle. Without your assistance our victory would not have been possible. The war however is far from over. We will keep you up to date on when your assistance will be needed again.

While both sides plan for the future Lord Ramanayan Caesar has announced the memorial for the slain Gnaeus Pompeius Caprarius in about one moons time. This will take place in the Lover’s Garden (Formally the King’s Garden) just outside of Loures Castle in a double moons time. The body of Caprarius will be burned on a funeral pyre there as his will requested. The high priest of Novus Imperia will also be present to preside over the ceremony and will attempt to learn from the gods why a loyal soldier such as Caprarius meet his end.

((Raiders of Undine: Chapter II will take place on Wednesday October 29th at 4:00 PM PST in the Lover’s Garden. This chapter is a strictly role-playing event! There will be no rewards, items, or legends given here! ))
