Astrid Salvation II

Piercing the night, shouts and screams,
followed by sounds obscene.
Never sleep, for fear of the summoner's dream.

Late at night, under a moon of red.
I struck out, clutch'd by hatred
and sweaty fear, from bed.

Children, women, and young boys taken
and tied to stakes, rocks, and left there.
Till black talos dust was wafted over their eyes,
and till blood's curdle silenced their cries.

Dark nights, throw all into a shudder,
when we hear the Dark Knight's wing'd flutter.
Gasp and cry and wish for day's innocence.
No sanctuary, no grace, from these summoners' malevolence.

Undying Undine. Where are your children?

Since the Sacrifice of Deoch 7 aislings have learned of the horrors inflicted on the citizens of Undine – their children stolen to be offered as human sacrifices to the Goblin god in a dreaded springtime ritual known as the Carnun. In Deoch 27, at the Astrid Salvation event, Novus Imperia coordinated a large rescue party to save as many children as possible from certain death.

It is now time for a new generation of aislings to stand up to these horrors. Ramanayan Caesar and Novus Imperia will again be coordinating a group effort to rescue as many children as possible from the Goblins in Astrid.

Aislings wishing to participate in this event shall meet in the history classroom of Mileth College, which is just South of Glicoa’s shrine in Mileth way. The group shall then make its way to Undine Tavern were each aisling shall be taught the Goblin Secrets, which will allow them to complete the quest. Finally the group will enter into the deepest parts of Astrid and rescue the children and then return to the tavern to collect experience rewards from the Undine citizenry.

((Astrid Salvation II will begin on Friday January 30th 2004 at 6:00 PM PST. The event shall probably last a little over one hour. Participants must over insight 11 and should bring some red potions. We will do our best to protect all coming, but we cannot guarantee it. All those participating must meet in the Mileth College History Classroom on time. In the event of an overcrowding in the history room, anyone who cannot fit inside should go into the next closest college building and so on.

Completion of the event will result in an experience reward. Novus Imperia’s purpose in holding this event is to expose one of the lesser known and used role-play possible features of Dark Ages to players. Only attend if you plan to be respectful.
