Charter/Constitution History:
The Imperium Realm Charter was the first charter/constitution/governing
document in Novus Imperia history. Enacted in Deoch 22
when the guild was still known as Imperium it set down
the basic government structure of the guild in outlining
the basic responsibilities of guild councilors and members
as well as setting down rules for the guild board and
whispers.
Shortly after Imperium became Novus
Imperia a new charter, the Novus Imperia Charter, was
enacted in Deoch 25. It was directly based on the Imperium
Realm Charter in most of its content and structure. An
amendment to the charter was passed around Deoch 27 in
regards to guild chat, which's text sadly has been lost
to time.
However, the Novus Imperia Charter
did not have the final say in guild legal matters. Laws
and rules passed after the charter, which sometimes conflicted
with it, were enforced instead.
The Novus Imperia Charter remained
in force for three decades before the written from scratch
Novus Imperia Constitution, enacted in Deoch 55, finally
replaced it.
The Imperial Constitution of Novus Imperia is the current
governing document. It was enacted in Deoch 65, Spring.
