In the depths of the Shinewood, in the lands of Temuair
Lives an evil mantis whom we all despise
With his big bug eyes
In the hearts of Aislings he causes despair
He haunts the woods and everybody knows him

He will blind you with dall
Mantis! Mantis! Green Mantis
The meanest little mantis of them all

Now mantises are an evil kind you know
They will attack you if you move too slow
They don't like travelers away from home
They just want to eat you if you don't leave them alone

But one day an Aisling dared to go
Attempt to kill Lady Phoenix, the most evil foe
To try and become a Grand Master
With the help of their friends, a basher and a caster

Mantis! Mantis! Green Mantis
He will blind you with dall
Mantis! Mantis! Green Mantis
The meanest little mantis of them all

Against the Aislings he fought!
A lot of chaos he wrought!!
He plagued their minds with Dark Seal!!!
They feared for their lives, this time for real!!!!
He put them to sleep!!
Trapped in the forest, their bodies he wanted to keep!!!
He annihilated them with his Mad Soul!!!

Now he's back deep into the woods
That mean little green turned the Aislings into foods
The Shinewood is once again quiet
Now that the mantis has satisfied his diet
